The Walnut Creek and Lamorinda has an amazing restaurant scene. So take advantage of it!
Here’s some places we love for a nice night out, family time with the kids or a quick bite.
Great Night Out
Chic gastropub right with great people watching. Lots of craft beers and a sweet bar with electronic board that shows what’s on tap that day.
Housed in one of the oldest buildings along Mount Diablo, Postino feels like a step back in time to the old world. Postino is a great spot if you’re craving Italian food, but don’t skip all the other choices either.
Did you know Walnut Creek was actually called the Corners way back in the olden days? Corners is a great place for a drink or modern cuisine. Check out the dioramas too.
See Brendan’s Creek Current’s story on Corners.
Lafayette’s newish bar / restaurant has a great patio to sip a beer and watch the world go by. Delicious American food on the menu fits for a nice dinner or lunch with the guys / gals.
Housed in the old Walnut Creek Meat Co. building on Main Street, Sasa is a lot more than just sushi. Primarily featuring small plates, Sasa’s menu has a lot to keep coming back for. We love the pork bellies, if we’re being honest. Great ambiance and bar too.

Brendan will tell you that this is one of the better Chicago deep dish pizza joints that you’ll find in the East Bay. We like to go here for an early dinner and let the kids draw all over the huge chalkboard they have. Try the Matt Cain!
Located in the Palos Verdes Shopping Center, Monas is a small one-room buger joint that will keep you coming back for more. It fills up on weekends so get there early. Our personal favorites are the Diablo and Cali burgers. The milkshakes are enormous too.
